Global Prestige
Global prestige resets the entire pickaxe level and awards a multiplier that boosts all economy earnings and XP gains. How to Prestige
Run/prison to check your current prestige level, your current pickaxe level, and the exact cost and level requirement to reach the next prestige tier. When you’re ready:
- Your pickaxe level has reached the configured maximum (e.g., level 100).
- You have enough currency to pay the prestige cost.
What the Multiplier Does
The prestige multiplier is a flat bonus applied on top of all earnings:- A +10% multiplier at prestige 1 means every block you mine pays 1.1× the base price.
- At prestige 5 with +50%, the same block pays 1.5× — without changing any block prices.
Per-Enchant Prestige
Individual enchants support their own prestige tracks, completely independent of the global pickaxe prestige. A player can prestige a single enchant dozens of times without ever touching the global prestige system.- Per-enchant prestige is accessed through the pickaxe upgrade GUI (right-click the pickaxe).
- Each enchant’s prestige cost and maximum tiers are set in its own YAML file.
- Prestiging an enchant resets only that enchant’s level to 1.
- The player earns a permanent bonus multiplier applied specifically to that enchant’s output.
Per-Enchant Prestige vs. Global Prestige
Both systems can run simultaneously. A player who has prestiged both their pickaxe globally and their Explosive enchant individually will compound both bonuses on every Explosive activation.
Prestige Costs & Tiers
Prestige costs scale exponentially to create meaningful long-term goals. Here’s a generic example of how costs and multipliers might scale across tiers:These values are illustrative. Your actual costs and bonuses are defined entirely by the
prestige block in your config.yml. Tune them to match your server’s economy pace.Configuring Prestige
The global prestige system is configured inconfig.yml under the prestige key:
After editing
config.yml, run /jpprison reload to apply the new values.
Bonus Caps
Themax-multiplier setting exists to prevent runaway economy inflation on long-running servers. Without a cap, a player with 50 prestiges at +10% each would earn 6× the base rate — which could collapse the value of early-game currency and make new-player progression feel pointless.
Setting max-multiplier: 5.0 means no player can ever earn more than 5× the base rate from prestige alone, regardless of how many times they prestige. Enchant-level bonuses, timed boosts, and sell multiplier enchants stack on top of — but never circumvent — this cap.
